missions at his place church

His Place Church is involved in missions outreach locally in the Inland Northwest community and throughout the world.  Missions work is primarily pursued as we support and actively participate with Strategic Partner organizations.  Additionally, members of His Place are involved with other missional efforts, which we call Passion Ministries.

STRATEGIC PARTNERS

Because Jesus cares for the broken, hurting, and those in need, we also care. We do this by loving the loveless, feeding the hungry, caring for the needy, etc..., through ongoing strategic partnerships with missional organizations.

  • People are people, the world over. We need shelter, sustenance, and community. Some know abundance. Others know poverty. Sometimes, a unique, holistic partnership brings the two together. From the New Covenant Missions comes a new model for missions, a new way to empower people, and a new way to change the world. For years, helping countries in need has been driven by a model based on charity, aid, and assistance—giving handouts to the needy. But this kind of aid creates a dependency that cripples people. The New Covenant Missions brings a new and invigorating model to missions: helping people to become self-sufficient.

  • bear paw camp

We are a group of people who believe that life is designed to be about God, not about us. For that to happen in our lives God often uses difficult times. We learn to deeply follow and trust Him in the storms. Even Jesus had to take time away from the hectic pace of life and ministry to get alone with His Father. We believe that has always been true and still is. In essence God established a "camping" or "conference ministry" with a system of Sabbaths and celebrations to idle back, spend time with family and friends, and refocus on what really matters.
Bear Paw Camp owns and operates a camp on the shores of the Pend O'reille River, just west of Newport, WA. This venue has beds for 170 and will soon have accommodations for 250. The beauty of this setting is that we have the ability to customize your camping experience. Whether you rent the entire facility and run your own camp; or have us take care of some of the details such as food, support staff, boats, archery, fishing, and many more activities; or you just want to bring your group and have us program an entire camping experience for you. Our goal is to make your camping experience better than it has ever been.
