About His Place's Worship Ministry

Worship is more than music...it is a life lived in loving response to God.  However...music provides us with an incredible platform to communicate & express our love, gratitude and reverence to God, together...as well as hear from Him.  It's a vehicle that believers have been using for a really long time...I mean, 'Old Testament' old! 

Our desire is for our worship & response to be passionate, honest & intimate.  Worship is for God, because of God, to bless God...it's all for Him.

So that we can be purposeful in our worship, we (worship ministry & team), have adopted the following values:

- Worship is given solely for God’s glory & honor (Ez. 28, Ps. 71:15-17, Ps. 111:10)
- We are to be intimate & self-disclosing with God (Eph. 3, Ex. 29:45-46, Is. 6, Ps. 51:17)  
- We welcome the ministry of the Holy Spirit in whatever way He chooses to work among us (Jn. 5:19-20,  Acts 2, Acts 10:44,  Acts 13:52, 1 Cor. 12:8-10, 1 Cor. 14)
- We are accurate in our response (1 Cor. 14, 1 Jn. 4:1, 1 Tim 2MSG)
- We intend for the whole congregation/group to participate in worship, so we make it accessible to everyone (Ps. 66:8, Ps. 67:5, Rom. 15:10-11)  

- We are committed to a lifestyle of integrity (1 Tim. 3, Titus 1) 
- We invest time, energy & money to ensure that we have quality in our worship (1 Chron. 25, Ps. 33:3)

 

In regards to music style...we generally use a band consisting of a couple guitars, drums, bass, keys...as well as a couple of singers.
